Learning and Development at SMU

Professional Development Opportunities

Spring 2013 Schedule

The Department of Human Resources promotes continuous professional development by offering a variety of workshops during the year. All scheduled classes are offered free of charge and seating is limited. Enrollment is requested through Access.SMU.

Professional Development opportunities are typically offered in two formats:

Quick Takes - we know that sometimes your schedule just doesn't allow you to get away for a full or half day of training. That's why we created Quick Takes - short sessions that have big impact! Join us for these one hour sessions where we'll introduce you to new ideas and provide additional resources for learning at your own pace.

Workshops - Self-renewal and learning are at the core of our mission as a university. Take advantage of these sessions which are typically two hours or longer in length and provide a more in-depth exploration of concepts and/or skillbuilding.
