Health Screenings/Check-up

Who Is Eligible For a Screening/Check-up?

Benefits-eligible staff and faculty may obtain a free onsite health screening-checkup each year. Screenings were offered in the fall of 2013 and re-screenings will be offered April 17 - May 23, 2014 for the following groups of participants: Healthy Outcomes, Naturally Slim, and Wellpower. In addition, we are providing screening opportunities for new employees who have joined us since we last offered screenings on campus last fall.

We will offer screenings again April 17, 2014 - May 23, 2014. Watch your email for an invitation. Please allow 45 - 55 minutes for your appointment. Appointments are typically available from 7:00 am to 12 noon.

Put Your Screening Results To Work For You

We encourage you to complete a health screening every year. Share your results with your medical provider and finally, take advantage of the many resources offered through your benefits, the Wellpower program, and the University to improve your total wellbeing.

Your Private Health Information

And rest assured, the privacy of your medical and health information is very important to us. No individual health information obtained through these processes is ever shared with anyone at SMU. The University does receive a group, aggregate report describing the overall health of the participant group. This information is used to help make programmatic and educational decisions for the benefit of our participants. In addition to this report, the University may receive the names of people completing a screening/health check-up in order to process program-related incentives or validate that a program requirement has been met.
