The Valerie R. Hotchkiss Reformation Collection was founded in August 2005 in honor of the former J. S. The collection includes early Protestant pamphlets, sermons, catechisms, biblical commentaries, and other significant works by Martin Luther, Philipp Melanchthon, Erasmus of Rotterdam, Ulrich Zwingli, Martin Bucer, and Andreas Bodenstein von Karlstadt, as well as the Magdeburg Confession (1550) and important works by anti-Protestant authors.
