Animated Fun with William Joyce '81

In celebration of SMU’s Year of the Library

As part of its Second Century Celebration, SMU is commemorating the Year of the Library, the 100th anniversary of the founding of SMU’s first library, which began in Dallas Hall in 1913.

Join this year’s parade grand marshal William Joyce ’81, SMU’s very own Academy Award-winning filmmaker, bestselling author and children’s illustrator, for a special viewing of his film “The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore,” which won an Oscar last year for Best Animated Short Film. After the movie, Joyce, whose animated films include “Robots,” will discuss his work and sign copies of his two latest books, The Mischievians and The Sandman and the War of Dreams.

Friday, October 25
