Weekend Schedule

Friday, May 16, 2014 (Casual attire for Friday's events)

9 a.m. Optional Meadows Museum Admission 
Start your morning with a visit to Meadows Museum on SMU's campus. View the permanent and rotating collections before registering for the day's activities. Parking is available in the Meadows Museum garage. Please see the desk for a voucher after you conclude your visit.

10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Reunion Check-in, Registration and Tour Departure Location
Please register your attendance before 2 p.m. at the Blanton Student Services Building. Please use the ground floor entrances marked by our balloons. There is no need to climb the outside staircase. If you are unable to join us Friday, you may check in at any of Saturday's events instead. The nametag you receive upon check-in will serve as your 'ticket' for the entire weekend. Simply present yuor nametag to the registration table staff at each subsequent reunion event to alert us of your presence. Complimentary parking will be available in the Moody and Binkley Parking Centers. Please print the parking pass provided in your registration confirmation email and place it on your windshield. All tours will depart from this location.

10:30 a.m.  Moody Coliseum and Miller Events Center Tour
With premium seating options, an inviting entrance lobby, fan-friendly concourses and state-of-the-art entertainment spaces, tour this renovated campus landmark, unveiled earlier this year.

10:45 a.m. Class of '64 Welcome
Join your classmates for a special welcome by student leaders and staff featuring Vice President for Development and External Affairs Brad Cheves and SMU's incoming student body president.

Noon Optional Light Lunch Available
Box lunches will be available at the Blanton Student Services Building for guests who pre-purchased them as part of their reunion registration.

12:45 p.m. Residential Commons Tour
Tour the transformation in student housing that brings live-in faculty and staff members, resident assistants and other student leaders together to create communities of support through an integrated academic and residential experience.

1:30 p.m. Campus Bus Tour
Ride down memory lane on a guided bus tour showcasing campus landmarks and new additions.

2:30 p.m. George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum Admission
Visit this extraordinary, historic new resource for students, scholars and the public, replete with interactive technology, engaging exhibits and other fascinating features. Please note: all visitors must pass through security prior to entering the museum. If you are only joining us for this tour please check in at Blanton Student Services Building first to receive your entrance sticker. Our staff will be happy to escort you to the museum. Those joining us for the 1:30 p.m. campus bus tour will be dropped off at the museum entrance just in time for the tour. At 5 p.m., assistance will be available for you to return to your vehicles at the Moody and Binkley Parking Centers. Unfortunately, complimentary parking is not avaialble for the Bush Center lot.

7 p.m. - The Friday Night Party at Carmen's
Join us at the home of classmate Carmen Crews McMillan '64 to be a part of this special 34-year tradition and kick off reunion weekend the right way. 


Saturday, May 17 (Business casual attire for Saturday's event)

8 a.m. Commencement Check-in and Regalia Distribution
To participate in SMU's Commencement ceremony, please arrive by 8 a.m. at the Miller Event Center attached to Moody Coliseum. Parking passes will be provided on Friday if they were not mailed to you. You must have this pass to access the basement of the Binkley Parking Center. Proceed to the northwest corner entrance of Miller Events Center. A representative will be on hand to check you in and issue appropriate tickets. You will then proceed to the third floor suite level.

9 a.m. The 99th Annual SMU Commencement Ceremony
The must-attend 50-year reunion tradition. Celebrate with SMU’s Class of 2014 as your class is recognized by the entire University community in this official ceremony in the newly rennovated Moody Coliseum. Golden Mustang medallions will be provided to participants of this 90-minute ceremony. Standard regalia will be provided, or you are welcome to bring and wear your own. Seating is available for spouses and guests in the suite level of Moody Coliseum. 

Noon Celebrate ’64 Class Luncheon
Enjoy lunch at the newly renovated Dallas Country Club. Special Golden Mustang pins are presented at this event to symbolize your induction into this esteemed group celebrating more than 50 years as alumni. We will also celebrate the lives of classmates we have lost in a special tribute during lunch.

7 p.m. Class of ’64 Reunion Dinner and Dance
The weekend culminates with a memorable party just for you and your classmates at the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek. Enjoy food, drinks and entertainment as you visit or simply dance the night away.
