Favorite thing about SMU: The people of SMU make the University the amazing place that it is. From the diverse student body to the accomplished faculty and staff, I have yet to see another place that compares.
Favorite place on campus: The steps of Dallas Hall overlooking the Dallas skyline at night
Favorite place in Dallas: Sunday afternoons at the Nasher Sculpture Garden
Favorite restaurant near campus: Twisted Root Burgers-Their black bean veggie burger with pepper jack cheese and guacamole is the perfect meal before heading to the Boulevard before an SMU football game.
What I recommend during your stay in Dallas: If you have a few spare hours, head downtown to The 6th Floor Museum, chronicling the Kennedy Presidency and Assassination. The Museum is located on the 6th Floor of the former School Book Depository building, where Lee Harvey Oswald allegedly made the fatal shot. The audio tour is narrated by an SMU Alumnus, who also happens to be the only confirmed individual to have spoken to the assassin directly following the shooting.
