Honors Advising Checklist

To graduate with Honors, you must take the following:

  • ENGL 2305
  • ENGL 2306
  • Three Honors Perspective courses from three different categoires
  • Two Honors Cultural Formations courses

You must maintain a 3.0 GPA in UHP courses, as well as a 3.3 GPA in all university courses.

Unless you study abroad, you can only petition one class that it not Honors to count for Honors credit. It is your responsibility to coordinate with your professor to plan an Honors project, get the project approved from the Associate Dean of General Education, and get your professor to verify with the UHP office that the project was completed successfully.

GPA

  • Honors GPA: _________ (needs to be at least 3.0)
  • Overall GPA: _________ (needs to be at least 3.3)
  • If your GPA falls below 3.0, you will be required to meet with the Honors Program Director and your Honors status will be placed under review for one semester. If your GPA does not improve by the close of the next semester, you will be withdrawn from the University Honors Program.

    Richter

    If you participate in the Richter International Fellowship Program, you are required to turn in a final research paper in order to graduate with Honors.
