The Mustang Academic Bridge Program eases the transition from high school to college by providing a strong academic community. Students in the Bridge program are offered reserved spaces in some of the essential first-year courses at SMU including English, mathematics, biology, chemistry, economics, and statistics.
The cohesiveness of the group is reinforced with monthly program meetings, workshops, and outings to encourage students to form study groups and interact outside of the classroom.
Organized weekly study groups are offered through the program for MATH 1303, 1304, 1309, 1337, BIOL 1401, 1402, and CHEM 1303, 1304. For all other courses, it is recommended students take advantage of the tutoring provided by the Learning Enhancement Center.
