Welcome to the Mustang Academic Bridge Program at SMU, an initiative through the Office of the Provost to ensure first year students a successful transition from high school to college. The program provides students with an array of coordinated academic support and personal development services and is designed to promote academic achievement and excellence. The program promotes academic achievement and success through targeted academic advising, individual appointments, study hall, peer mentoring, collaborative learning workshops, and special extra-curricular learning enhancement experiences.

Students who are eligible to participate in the program are invited prior to their enrollment. Students are invited who demonstrate academic promise and who could benefit from additional support services as they approach the rigorous curriculum of their first year at SMU. The Bridge program helps students position themselves to take advantage of the full range of opportunities available to them at SMU.
